CIDER,
HOW IT SHOULD BE.
REVIVING A FAMILY BUSINESS
My grandfather spent most of WWII escaping prison camps. Back home in 1945, he began fermenting apple juice in old champagne bottles, sharing it with friends & family.
To keep up with demand, he borrowed a 300-year-old oak cider press & never looked back, going on to become one of Britain's top cider makers.
HOWIES Cider was born to revive his legacy. Using only the finest British apples, fresh-pressed & slowly fermented, just as he did. Because great cider takes time.
Same spirit, new chapter.
ROOTED IN TRADITION, CRAFTED FOR TODAY
Inspired by the past and determined to improve the future, HOWIES Cider was born from a simple belief: that cider deserves to be made properly, or not at all. We take the time others don't, because real character can't be rushed — it's grown in the orchard, built through slow fermentation, and earned one careful batch at a time.
